Reflections on Knowledge

Abstract

This article proposes an author's approach to the possible construction of knowledge. Attention is focused on ontological issues: «What makes us acquire and accumulate knowledge?», «How do we get knowledge?» and «How should we use what we know?». The answer to the first question is in the field of curiosity and interest. The answer to the second leads to a method by which we acquire knowledge. The answer to the third — leads to ethical standards, to judgments. In the analysis, answers are obtained through the support of philosophizing. The latter defines knowledge. His interpretations are discussed from different philosophical directions.
