National mechanisms of gender equality in Russia and Kazakhstan: actors, levels, institutional resources

Abstract

In article the contents and essence of national mechanisms of gender equality reveals, the system and functions of key components and actors of national mechanisms of gender equality are defined. The analysis of national mechanisms of gender equality in the modern countries is illustrated by cases of Russia and Kazakhstan. Research shows that without existence of the developed network of the institutes of civil society interested in advance of gender equality, operation of institutional national mechanisms has only symbolical character that developing countries show.
